Hard anodizing is a treatment for aluminum surfaces only. Many of today's stock forks come with the aluminum outer tubes hard anodized from the factory; however, the coating is many times very thin - wearing through in less than 10 hours of riding.

Once worn, bushings ride on soft aluminum creating friction and an inconsistent feel. I tell them that I want to be able to jump a big jump, and they are able to make the suspension do it for me! Tested on the track by some of the top 50 riders in the world, Race Tech offers an amazing suspension package for the Cobras. The stock suspension is over-sprung for most riders without enough valving. This leads to a bouncy feel that doesn't track or turn as well as it can.

Because mini bikes are light weight, the rider makes up a large percentage of the total mass making spring rates and personalized valving extremely crucial. RT Hi-Performance Springs. RT Hi-Performance Springs with the proper rates are a must for both front and rear.

The Gold Valve Fork Kit offered for this model includes both compression and rebound valves, along with personalized valving stacks for the compression, rebound and mid-valve. Gold Valves along with a custom valving setup is guaranteed to improve bottoming resistance and decrease harshness. This kit includes a Gold Valve and custom valving tailored to each rider's needs to provide more traction, a consistent feel, and increased bottoming resistance.

Shock Bottom Out Bumpers for Cobra 50s. Through testing with top amateur mini riders like factory Cobra supported Hunter Yoder, we've found that the stock bumpers shred within a few rides; even as soon as a couple of laps!

However, the research and development from this model has allowed us to put together an industry-leading suspension package for all KTM 50 models. The stock KTM 50 forks come with old-fashioned orifice style damping rods.

This type of fork is notorious for harshness over sharp bumps and on hard landings. On the rear, the absence of a progressive spring and proper damping results in harshness over small bumps as well as not enough bottoming resistance.

Due to the fact that the rider makes up a large part of the overall load on a mini-bikes' suspension, proper spring rates are extremely important for the forks and shock on the KTM The progressive shock spring drastically improves plushness over small bumps while increasing bottoming resistance.

Race Tech offers a Gold Valve Cartridge Emulator Kit transforming the stock damping rod type forks in the KTM 50 to perform like modern cartridge forks found on big bikes.

This award winning technology removes restrictive orifice style damping allowing progressive, velocity sensitive damping; resulting in increased traction, bottoming resistance, and control. Even though this is a lower cost option than a complete G3-S Custom Series Shock each kit still includes a Gold Valve and a personalized valving setup.

You may install the kit yourself, send it to Race Tech, or send to your local Race Tech Center for installation. The G3-LD Gold Valve design creates better flow allowing improved bottoming resistance, plushness, control and traction as well as increased tuneability. In stock form, the KX65 features Damping Rod Type Forks which are notorious for being too harsh while also being too easy to bottom. These industry-leading kits are easily tuneable, and increase plushness while drastically improving bottoming resistance by creating progressive, velocity sensitive damping.

This bolt-on kit provides custom valving setup, improved traction and performance. The Gold Valve design creates decreased harshness and increased bottoming resistance at the same time. Coming Soon!
