AnnaRic Thread Starter. Joined May 13, Messages I have a new laptop so I had to download SP2 from the Corel site in order to make it compatible with Vista.
I installed X3 first, rebooted and when I launched and checked the version, it says SP1 is already installed. When I go to install SP2, I get a Windows error message that reads The Upgrade Patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program.
Verify that the program to be updated exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch. I've tried a few things, nothing worked. That shouldn't cause me any problems should it?
