Itt tech orlando nursing program reviews

OHSU has hired around 4 of my classmates, they got lucky and did their senior preceptorship on the floor. Tuality posted 2 new grad positions back in July went to 2 classmates of mine but are unable to hire any more new grads becuase they are such a small hospital and it takes to much to train us I still apply however:D. I completely understand wanting to get to work, trust me, it has been 8 years from the time I took my placement test to my NCLEX and all I want to do is work as a RN , just hope that people go in with both eyes wide open!

Oct 12, DIdn't you guys read the other posts? AN itt tech graduate has a job at legacy in the portland area. I guess she is 8 years ahead of you!!! Dont mean to be sarcastic, but come on really???? You might think your helping people out, but your not. I said it before. Some people have their reason like family for instance why they cant attend traditional colleges.

Give them a break and let them have their dreams. Some people cant wait 8 years.. I have personally called some colleges that will take itt tech into their Adn to Rn programs. All you have to do is call a few of them.

I will list them here in the future. And those schools where nlnac acreddited. Plus Itt tech is in application status for the nlnac in indiana. And from what I hear there are not many schools that have ever been denied.

And also if the school was not legit than why are they acreddited by so many state boards and the students are able to sit for the exam? Like I said I have met some horrible nurses that went to traditional colleges. Maybe you are the ones on here making a big fuss because you had to go to school for eight years and now there is a chance to for people to further their careers faster. You must be mad at those thousands of foreign nurses coming over to the united states and getting jobs easily.

They are not nlnac acreddited. So lets all get along!!!!! Yes, we all read that one ITT Tech grad got a job Oh and the same post that spoke about this one person who was hired also spoke about the fact that she got hired on the same unit that she worked as tech on.

A very different situation from having to get called back from HR, from a stack of resumes. No one is trying to deny anyone their dream, if anything it seems that people are trying to make sure that folks have all the information they need to make a decision, so they actually reach their dream. I have several friends who thought they were pursuing their dreams by going to for-profit colleges, and instead ended up with obscene student loan bills, and no way to get a job to pay them.

Oh and for the record, I'm not mad at anyone. I love the program that I'm in, and got in on the first try without a wait list. No anger, I think the folks expressing concern just want to make sure anyone thinking of going to a for-profit college understands the possible problems, because for-profit colleges have a history of not telling their applicants about them.

Breckinridge School of Nursing at ITT Technical Institute offers an Associate Degree in Nursing program that helps men and women develop the knowledge and skills imperative for the profession. The curriculum inculcates the nursing process, nursing values, health promotion and maintenance, therapeutic communication skills, nursing roles, and competent nursing care. Since a Registered Nurse must possess skills in problem-solving and critical thinking, the Associate Degree in Nursing will cover various topics including health care and case management, healthcare business management, and many others.

Students in the program will be provided with technical training to assist them in performing their duties, such as taking and recording patient data, administering treatment and medications, creating a patient care plan, assessing and evaluating patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and operating medical equipment.

Breckinridge School of Nursing provides top-of-the line facilities and expert clinical instructors for students of the Associate Degree in Nursing program. These potential nurses have easy access to a nursing laboratory with computers and printers, allowing them to research and learn different processes or practices. Students can also approach their teachers or clinical preceptors through personal consultations, emails, and phone calls.

There is no on-campus attendance but all clinical hours are done in a local facility, arranged by the student and approved by the institution. The BSN curriculum includes a course on healthcare business management taken after the program. Students undergo clinical hours of training for the NU Health Business and Case Management in Practice course, and will have to work with a clinical preceptor to develop practice innovations and projects that help improve the nursing profession.

The RN to BSN curriculum includes coursework in leadership skills, managed healthcare, budgeting essentials, economics and case management. The tests are all re-circulated, meaning the exact test we take today will be given to the next class coming in. Basically recycling the same tests. There were students not only cheating their way through, but the honest students were then made to retake tests they had already passed.

Every quarter there we less and less students attending, and more dropping out or transferring to other schools. Some of the students behaved like children still in high school, arguing and crude remarks to one another.

All accepted by the instructor of the day. If that wasn't enough to make you say hmmm, how about returning to school after a weekend finding out that your Chair Director has quit and no one staff of ITT wanted to address the hysteria surrounding the matter. Once the Nursing Chair Director quit, other staff members also began quitting as well. The school is very small so it wasn't as if we the students wouldn't take notice.

Much like some of the others, I too have withdrawn from the school, due to the poor curriculum, poor teaching staff, and seeking an education that will benefit me in the future.

Carmen S. So after having paid 50, dollars for a useless degree and having the worse teachers they scraped the bottom of the barrel and not barely finishing the program, now I have a useless degree and no one will recognize the affiliation!
